overall appearance; Katniss is interesting to say the least, at first glance one would probably note dare to call her beautiful, or even exceptionally pretty, but with closer inspection one comes to see a beauty in Katniss. Even though her body is quite thin from her malnourishment her olive skin comes to life when adorned by her prep team's doings. Her beauty is much more of a hidden one than anything else, it just needs a few touches for it to show itself.
Usually wearing simple slacks except during her Capitol appearances, Katniss likes to be comfortable at all times. Her lack of caring for the way that she looks exceptionally bothers her prep team. They always are asking her to behave herself when it comes to the way that grooms herself, yet her stylist does not really care. Overall, Katniss could have a much better appearance if she actually did care about the way that she looked.

overall personality; One might say that Katniss is quite needy, and they would be right. She needs to receive attention from others to survive. The experience that she had in the games comes to show this, the way that she needed Peeta to be around her even though she did not love him at that point was proof. She needed him to be there for her, not because she wanted to be around him.
Katniss really is afraid of death. She could not imagine what will be her fate and she really does not intend to find out anytime soon. She is quite content living under the rule of the Capitol as long as they are decent to her, which they probably wont be, yet she ignores that fact. Katniss is willing to give things up only if it will be for her gain in the future, she is basically a very self centered person. She will always, even when in love, do things only for herself

overall history; The first thing that anyone should know about Katniss Everdeen is that she grew up in the seam of District Twelve, not even the fact that she is a victor is of higher importance, at least not to her. Being a victor to Katniss was just because of unfortunate circumstances, she would have been quite happy living her life poor in the Seam without the Capitol constantly trying to kill he. See, Katniss does not really want to have all this fame, but she has a will that not even she controls, that will is the will to live.
Katniss does not question her decision to step into her younger sisters place in the reaping, without a doubt she would have lost her. Now at least she was back home with her whole family complete, and Peta, even though he is quite angry with her at the time. Katniss only wishes for her life to be returned back to normal, all of this unimportant stuff just ruins the fun of life for her. She considers herself lucky after all anyways, who would have expected to win the Hunger Games, it is a bunch of luck that came her way, and she is quite grateful for that.
